TRANSFER SERVICE
Transfer service from Central Christchurch, Christchurch International Airport or Lyttleton port. All transfer vehicles are of high standards and complete with a friendly and informative commentary. Passengers must report 5 minutes prior to scheduled departure time. Alternatively, passengers can drive themselves to Alpine Jet river launch site. Please find detailed direction map on our website: alpinejet.co.nz (location) or contact our office for further information. Please note that bookings are essential. Minimum number for a transfer is 2 passengers.
WHAT TO BRING
Alpine Jet supplies life jackets, spray jackets and gloves. Please dress weather accordingly (e.g. warm wind proof clothing). We recommend that passengers bring the following items for their jet boat tour: sun glasses, sunscreen and a camera!
CANCELLATION POLICY
Passenger will receive a full refund if jet boat departure is cancelled due to adverse river/weather conditions. Alternatively jet boat departure can be re-scheduled for any other suitable day of departure. Please note that less than 1% of scheduled jet boat departures are cancelled due to adverse river/weather conditions.
Alpine Jet will contact passengers at 8am on day of schedule tour departure if adverse river/weather conditions prevent jet boat departure (please supply contact phone number, hotel room number or other means of contact when booking your tour).
CHILD POLICY
Children's prices make up 70% of recommended retail prices and apply to passengers under 14 years of age. Infant is under 5 years of age – infants are free of charge. Children must be accompanied by an adult on all tours.

NEW ZEALAND WEATHER
The weather in New Zealand can be changeable, and experiencing four seasons in one day is quite possible.
Waimak Alpine Jet river base is situated 330 meters (1100 feet) above sea level and is located approx 50 km from the coast. Due to these factors we experience far more sunshine hours annually than the city of Christchurch - please keep this in mind when booking your jet boat tour.
The upper Waimakariri River is a safe and reliable river to operate on and is not significantly affected by the local weather. In fact less than 1% of our jet boat tours are cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.
